Michael Millett is a member of Bryant Miller Olive’s Public Finance group in the firm’s Tampa office. Mr. Millett has over 15 years of experience in financial and legal services, as a Financial Analyst, Vice President and Attorney. Millett currently focuses his legal practice serving as bond and disclosure counsel representation in the issuance of municipal bonds, and various forms of tax-exempt financings for Florida cities, special districts and interlocal agencies such as school boards, healthcare, universities and affordable housing transactions. Prior to joining Bryant Miller Olive, Mr. Millett served as the Director of Institutional Risk Management for Raymond James & Associates, Inc., Vice President of Operations for Weatherford Partners and as a Public Finance Attorney with Holland & Knight, LLP.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Millett was a gubernatorial appointee serving on the Board of Directors for the Tampa Bay Regional Transit Authority (TBARTA) and served on the Board of Directors for the Greater Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Millett received his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 2013. While in law school, he won the Judge Alexander Paskay Award for Excellence in Bankruptcy, was a National Competition Award Winner for the Moot Court team, and was published in the Securities Regulation Law Journal. Mr. Millett received his B.S. degree in Finance and Banking from Florida Gulf Coast University, during this time he served in various leadership positions as President of the Student Government Senate and the President of the Financial Managers Association. Mr. Millett also recieved certification from the Harvard Business School, Executive Education Program in Real Estate Development.
